One of the things we experience is ladies with high anxiety levels, and they deal with this by dedicating some ‚§Ĺme‚§ time by way of getting their hair styled, coloured or adding some hair extensions. ¬†Although it is certainly a good thing to take some time out when things start getting on top of you, and getting your hair done is one way to get that personal lift, it can be argued that prevention would be a lot better than the cure.

This ‚§Ĺfight now or deal with it later‚§ theory- when confronted with rising stress levels, allows you a choice to face the problem. ¬†The first is to distance yourself from the situation, therefore solving the immediate necessity for anxiety comfort (yet not necessarily solving the problem, given that¬†you may¬†have to return to it alter) the secondly is managing the troubles, addressing or eliminating them and merely combating the cause of the stress directly. These are the main choices utilised when handling increasing stress. ¬†In many cases it is advised to stay and battle therefore get it over and done with immediately, however other situations you could just walk away and ignore it, however we all know that it will still be there under the surface.
For¬†example when dealing with a relationship, quite often there will be times when small situations of annoyance start to creep in, and if left untreated can turn into a full on argument resulting in bouts of silence and time apart. ¬†This ‚§Ĺbattle time‚§ if you will is the exact situation that could have been avoided by choose a more direct approach to dealing with the cause of the stress when it was at a fairly unimportant and low level. ¬† ¬† Left to fester and suddenly reactions increases to way above the ‚§Ĺnormal‚§ level of personal anguish warranted for such a situation and we hear phrases such as ‚§ĹI‚§™ve had enough‚§, and ‚§Ĺthat‚§™s the last straw‚§ being used. ¬†If you find yourself using phrases similar to these it‚§™s fair to say you‚§™ve chosen the walk away and not address smaller issues, until they have built up to a level you can no longer contain.
Contrast this approach with a different mindset ‚§“ one of identifying situations of stress building, however applying a methodology that takes some form of action. ¬†When instances of stress start to appear looking to identify the root cause of the stress and eliminating it. ¬†At times this won‚§™t be possible and as such simply addressing the cause openly and honestly, then taking some ‚§Ĺme time‚§ to get your hair done, nails done, or a nice relaxing massage will assist you in staying beyond the ‚§Ĺred line‚§ which is y0ur personal tipping point.
Everyone responds differently to anxiety, some people enter a semi depressive mood and quit communicating, stop eating, lose¬†weight, others get involved in activities to totally block out what is causing their stress such as employing a new tape hair extensions look. ¬†Others are able to implement methodologies to assist them in managing their stress levels. ¬†We are all different and there is no right or wrong answer, however the reality is that we need to be aware that stress needs to be identified and if possible, we need to eliminate the cause. ¬†When that is not possible, having coping mechanisms to deal with stress so it does not negatively impact on our lives is paramount.
